Played only in Ireland, camogie blends elements of soccer, hockey, lacrosse, baseball, and even a touch of rugby. What makes it truly unique is its parish rule: players must represent the parish where they were born or raised—no trades allowed. This film takes viewers to the rural village of Kiltale, Ireland, where the local camogie team pushes toward the county final. Along the way, it reveals how women of different ages and professions balance their daily responsibilities with the intense demands of the sport, united by a shared determination to keep this cherished community tradition alive for the next generation.

Incoherent Empire

Director: Jason Baum

This series explores the causes of the American Revolution through a unique set of characters. King George III and his prime ministers, the major decision makers in Britain, guide viewers through the years 1760 to 1775. Their perspective reveals a unique factor that was crucial to their time: in London, America was just one component of a large global empire that was demanding the attention of policymakers. The King and Parliament are juggling complex issues occurring in India, America, and at home in Britain.  Contemporary art combines with modern footage of historic sites and monuments to create a film that immerses the viewer in the world of the 18th century. Modern music is used to present a new tone and feeling to familiar historical events. Expert commentary from historian Nick Bunker helps explain the finer details of how parliament worked and how the economy of the empire flowed. This creates a unique experience as the viewer learns of cascading events the way British politicians would have seen them. In the end, viewers gain a clear understanding of the monumental task the politicians had in trying to avoid conflict with their American colonies.
