Professor of Practice Chris Sheridan was recently invited back to serve as a judge for the 73rd Annual Scripps Howard National Journalism awards – one of the most distinguished journalism awards in the industry.  

From exposing corruption to challenging powerful institutions and amplifying underrepresented voices, the winners and finalists of the 73rd Scripps Howard Journalism Awards produced high-impact reporting that uplifted communities and made a difference.

A longtime journalist and cross-platform media executive at both the local and network level, Sheridan noted, “The slate of documentaries in the national longform video storytelling category was incredible and reminds – that in these challenging times in the industry – great work it still being done.”
