Application Process
- Maintain at least a 3.5 GPA
- Identify Faculty Sponsor in area of study
- Assemble application and letters of recommendation
- 3 letters of recommendation (we encourage that one letter is from your academic adviser stating that you have the necessary credits to enroll in graduate-level classes as a senior)
- A statement of interest that speaks to your goals and your interest in the program
- Portfolio materials (optional)
- Submit application by Friday, March 8 (the Friday before Spring Break)
- You will hear back from us regarding an admissions decision before Fall Registration begins.
- If accepted into the 4+1 Program, you will enroll in one graduate-level class in Fall Semester and one graduate-level class in Spring semester. For a comprehensive list of your courses, visit our Degree Plan page.

- A statement of interest that speaks to your goals and your interest in the program.
- Portfolio material is requested, but not required.
- An applicant may be invited by the department for an interview either in person or via Zoom.
