Celebrating Hoop Dreams!

It was an amazing night for the Documentary Film Program as we celebrated the groundbreaking documentary Hoop Dreams and colleague Peter Gilbert.

The film’s participants William Gates and Arthur Agee joined DFP Creative Director Peter Gilbert for a captivating conversation on the film, its origins and its relevance 30 years after it was made. Wake Forest Baseball Coach Tom Walter and Moderator Dave Goren rounded out the panel at the Porter Bynum Welcome Center.

The event was also a learning laboratory for DFP MA students Peter Tkac and Nyja Cauley who produced all of the media and social media for the event.

 The DFP was honored to partner once again with Walter’s  non-profit Get in the Game for the event, and is already discussing what to do next year.
