Webber/Gilbert Media Group Finds Success at Sundance

DFP Professor of Practice Peter Gilbert and producing partner NBA All-Star and TNT analyst Chris Webber, had a busy couple of days at Sundance.  The Webber/Gilbert Media Group served as executive producer of two films that made their debut at the premiere film festival.

Digging for Fire, directed by Joe Swanberg, and Unexpected, directed by Kris Swanberg, both received excellent reviews and the filmmakers were quickly dubbed “first couple of Sundance.”  The Orchard picked up the North American distribution rights for Digging for Fire and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions will distribute the film internationally.

Gilbert, who has produce and directed documentaries, feature films, commercials, and music videos, also shared his expertise with film festival attendees by participating on producing and distribution panels throughout the festival.
