PowerGloveJoin the Power of Glove team for a “Stuff We’ve Filmed So Far” screening and a night of retro gaming fun on Friday, October 25.  The Power of Glove chronicles the colorful history and legacy of the Power Glove, the first video game controller that allowed players to control Nintendo games with 3D hand gestures.  Despite immense hype surrounding its 1989 release, the product was a critical failure, disappointing thousands of children with its subpar gameplay.  More than two decades later, however, dedicated fans continue to repurpose the Power Glove for art pieces, hacking projects, electronic music, and more.  Come to the screening to see the story of how and why the Power Glove lives on.

The festivities will include an opportunity to test your skills in a Power Glove tournament, video games and a Q & A with two of the film’s co-directors Andrew Austin and Adam Ward.   The event begins at 7 p.m. at Lost Ark Video Games, 2823 Spring Garden Street in Greensboro.
