Pitch Perfect Win in New Orleans

Congratulations to Diane Hodson on her Pitch Perfect win at the New Orleans Film Festival.  Diane, and co-director Jasmine Luoma, put together a winning presentation of their thesis film on map-maker Denis Wood, author of Everything Sings and The Power of Maps.

Hodson and her competitors from UT-Austin, University of New Orleans, Auburn, University of Alabama, Dillard and Tulane presented a five-minute film pitch to judges Debra Zimmerman from Women Make Movies, Sadie Tillery from Full Frame and co-founder and President of Film Production Capital Will French.  Hodson’s win earned $1000 in prize money, which she and Luoma will put toward the completion of their film,  and Movie Magic Scheduling and Budgeting software.
